Wine Basics Made Simple (and Fun)
Thank you for joining us. It is a thrill for us to be able to share our knowledge of wine and spirits in this way. While not as personal as direct contact, we hope to make it simple and fun for you to learn the basics of wine appreciation in a non-intimidating way.

As retail merchants, we see first hand how many of people have such little understanding about the wines they are about to buy. When confronted by uncertainty, most customers fall back to their "favorite" wine, or a wine recommended by a friend. This method can and does work, but it can also get pretty boring after awhile.

It needn't be this way. Armed with a basic understanding, anyone can quickly and confidently enter any wine shop or cellar and choose the wine that is right for the occasion. Granted, your understanding and appreciation will take time to develop, but the pace of learning will be as rapid or as slow as your level of interest… no different than anything else worth learning about. Well enough already … let's begin.
