Ginger Shrimp
The following recipe is from our Westport Cooks Archives and the previous "Stir Fry with Newie" class held by Newie Casciano. Add your own twist on this recipe as you make your own Ginger Shrimp.
Ingredients:
• 1 pound peeled and deveined shrimp
• 2 tablespoons oil (any type)
• 2 minced garlic cloves
• 3 tablespoons thinly sliced ginger
• 4 cups of your favorite vegetables (we use snow peas, red bell pepper, scallions and mushrooms)
• 1 tablespoon sugar
• 2 tablespoons fish sauce
• 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
Directions:
• Heat oil in a large skillet with the shrimp and garlic for 1 to 2 minutes or until cooked.
• Add the remaining ingredients and stir until the vegetables are cooked.
• Serve this dish over jasmine rice or noodles.
