Blue Lobster News At Lees Market!
Did you know Blue Lobsters are very unusual? The actual chance of finding such a creature is said to be one in a million. We knew it was a perfect match when a local fisherman Alan Dean caught a blue lobster and donated to Lees Market. What better to represent Lees Market than something so unique? Sir Pinch-A-Lot came to us in August of 2003, and having a blue lobster as our store’s mascot was one more thing for us to be proud of here at Lees. With time, though comes change, and so we introduce our new Blue Lobster.
In July of 2006 Lees Market was fortunate enough to be offered another Blue Lobster found by another local Westport Point Fishing Boat. The first Blue Lobster they have ever pulled from our New England Waters. More Details Soon to Follow…

We are currently running the original name contest that was held for Sir Pinch-A-Lot. Children between ages 2-10 will have a chance to submit the name they would want for our Blue Lobster. The winner of this contest will receive a 1 year pass to Mystic Aquarium for the entire family. Entry forms are available at our Service Desk and need to be submitted by September 6th. We will announce the contest winner and official name on Saturday, September 9th.
We would also like to thank Darryl at Westport Lobster for taking care of the Blue Lobster while we prepared our aquarium and Carl from Aquatic Design for setting up our new aquarium.
