The Keurig Coffee Brewer And Lees Shoppers Feedback on Recycling K-Cups

A few months ago we introduced the Keurig Coffee Brewer and K-cups here at Lees. The Keurig product line has been successful in our store and we have received much feedback from Lees Shoppers. Lees Shoppers have commented on the quality and consistency of this great product line along with our variety of Keurig products available here at Lees. We have also received feedback in regards to the materials used in making the K-cups and if they are recyclable.
In regards to this question, Albert contacted the Keurig Company and was told by a representative that the challenge of protecting the freshness of roasted coffee and using environmentally friendly packaging is one that both Keurig and the coffee industry are committed to overcoming. The Keurig Company is very sensitive about the waste created by the K-cups, and are currently investigating alternative materials.
How many times does your leftover coffee get poured down the drain or is not temperature hot? A Keurig Brewer will make an individual cup of hot coffee, tea, and hot chocolate in under a minute. Lees carries a large selection of K-cups from Green Mountain Roasters, Newmans Own and Celestial Seasonings. We also carry the Keurig Single Cup Holders and Coffee filters.
